Are you an underearner?
I recently read an article from MarketWatch, written by Marshall Loeb, that outlined five symptoms of an underearner, defined here as someone who is bright, works hard, but can't escape living paycheck-to-paycheck. The signs of being in this category include :
1) underpricing your services
2) being risk-averse
3) having a lack of focus
4) sacrificing your own needs for the needs of others
5) avoiding dealing with your finances
The topic of the article was a book written by Barbara Stanny, titled "Overcoming Underearning". To find out more, including potential solutions, please see this article "Are you an undiagnosed underearner?"
