New Recommended Reading - When the Game is Over, It All Goes Back in the Box by John Ortberg

I have almost finished the new John Ortberg book entitled When the Game is Over, It All Goes Back in the Box.  The book uses an analogy of a board game to remind us that God is in control (i.e. the "master of the board") and our purpose is to please God.  This is one of the best life stewardship books that I have ever read.

One of the things that the book reminds us to consider is the difference between permanent things and temporary things.  Permanent things will last for eternity and should be our focus.  These are the people around us.  We are tempted to focus on temporary things, such as riches, houses, cars, boats, etc.  When taken from the perspective of eternal vs. temporary, we can properly prioritize our time and our money.

To promote the book, John will be sending a hearse throughout the country loaded with goods.  To find out more about the book and to find out when/if the tour is coming to your area, please visit  http://www.johnortberg.com/latestBook/home.php.

I encourage everyone to read this book, as it will remind us of the things that should be truly important in our lives.
